Lori Lea
Lady Lea - Broken
Solo Exhibition, April 15 - May 31, 2021
Lori Lea’s premiere solo show in April 2021 was a rare exhibition featuring digitally created gothic portraits, and emotional landscapes with portraits.
Lady Lea provides an opportunity to witness the transformative expressions a domestic abuse survivor. She releases dark inner emotions in her work. The more we consider this body of images, the deeper our joy because this is the art of a survivor.
Lori Lea is a reservedly charming and talented artist, who was wounded as a child. She became a loving parent who continues to protect her own child. Scientists believe that we are the only advanced civilization in the universe, yet we have a lot to do in order to become a non-violent civilization.
Lori Lea’s art encapsulates the dark and the light, allowing us to hope for the end of violence/abuse in our institutions, families, and as individuals.
Come to artHYPE and support the reflective, inviting and dark emotional creations of this brave artist; she has successfully transformed her wounds into art.
Lori has requested a portion of every purchase from Lady Lea - Broken to benefit SHE IS HOPE LA, a charity uplifting single mothers with a free curriculum series of life and legal skills, job opportunities and social support. Find out more at sheishopela.org
